I think it is custom firmware from Gearbest for this model. Because the latest firmware for this device is 20171230 from Manufacturer (Tanix-Box). There is noise from inside the box and DC adapter. This Tanix TX6 TV box may be my favorite so far. The first thing I noticed was the small size of the box. It's palm-sized, and fits even in small areas like my nightstand.
I've got limited technical experience, so I couldn't tell you anything about the system it runs or its benefits, but I've used more than a few, so I can talk about performance. The 6K ultra-clear display is more powerful than I thought, and with the stable transmission, no need to worry about video interruption or picture distortion.

The Tanix TX3 mini L has very good quality and solid plastic body. The processor and memory are good for the applications like Kodi, iptv apps ect. Specificaly, Kodi runs very well without any lags in HD mode. For 4k movies there are strongest machines. The UI is simple, clear and useful. The Wifi signal without any problem. It's fast. Fast SoC, fast memory, fast eMMC. Just perfect for any online or offline content consumption, also, easy to install. (I switched to a simpler launcher, then CoreElec, because it's easier to only watch stream + local videos plus play some oldschool games on Kodi, without Android under it.) The only thing you should know, the clock's light is not dimmable, but it's not frustrating at all. Amazing product.

This android TV box works great. I love the preloaded software is comes with and it is very fast and responsive. It came with android 7 and handles memory great and yeah is fast. Of course you can use the android store or load your own apps and they work great. I use a third party controller with it and that connects and works great with it as well. Highly recommended TV box and price is great.

Box is super fast, best external antenna, if box cost more i would rate lower bc the remote could be better but for the Price Holy cow. Do yourself a favor though, and if shipping to US only use DHL to ship. trust me.

Ich mag die Verpackung und die Box. Es ist sehr elegant und minimalistisch. Funktioniert sehr schnell. Das neue Android-Betriebssystem ist auch gut und ich mag die Möglichkeit, die Box zu verwenden, ohne sich anmelden zu müssen. Hat eingebaute Cast, was perfekt funktioniert. Ich vermisse den Mikrofoneingang vom Controller.
